Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL), 53-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Quincy upgrades its record to 13-8 on the season. The Blue Devils host Springfield (Springfield, IL) to clash with the Senators in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Senators go into the bout with a record of 11-9. Springfield won 54-39 in their recent league bout against Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL)

Next up, the Tornadoes clash with the ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars (Oneida, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Abingdon/Avon will attempt to upgrade on its 15-9 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 62-30 non-league loss to Annawan (Annawan, IL).
