West Marshall Trojans (State Center, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host AGWSR Cougars (Ackley, IA), 53-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Marshall upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Trojans travel to Perry (Perry, IA) to clash with the Bluejays in a Heart of Iowa bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bluejays go into the bout with a record of 4-9. Perry lost 76-39 in their recent league bout against South Hamilton (Jewell, IA)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels (Reinbeck, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - West bout, on Friday, January 20. AGWSR will attempt to upgrade on its 10-1 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 50-49 league loss to South Hardin (Eldora, IA).
