In Monday's non-league outing, the Bishop's Knights (La Jolla, CA) basketball squad felled the visiting San Ysidro Cougars (San Diego, CA), by a margin of 49-40.

The Knights (2-16) will now prepare for their outing against St. Joseph Academy (San Marcos, CA). The Crusaders go into the Coastal match with a 13-9 record. In their last match, St. Joseph Academy overcame Maranatha Christian (San Diego, CA), 49-26, in a league match.

With the defeat, San Ysidro moves to 1-8 on the year. The Cougars host Montgomery (San Diego, CA) to meet the Aztecs in a South Bay match on Friday, January 20. The Aztecs enter the match with a record of 11-6. Montgomery won 84-29 in their recent non-league match against Liberty Charter (Lemon Grove, CA)
