The Shady Spring Tigers basketball team (Shady Spring, WV), was overwhelmed 66-18 in Monday's non-league battle with the host James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV)
The Mavericks now possess a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mercer Christian Academy for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 17. James Monroe will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 54-37 non-league loss to Summers County (Hinton, WV). The Cavaliers record now stands at 7-3.
The Tigers (2-11) will now prepare for their battle against PikeView (Princeton, WV). The Panthers come into the Coalfield AA battle with a 6-6 record. In their last battle, PikeView was overwhelmed by Summers County (Hinton, WV), 55-49, in a league battle.
