The John Curtis Christian Patriots (River Ridge, LA) basketball knocked off the host West Jefferson Buccaneers (Harvey, LA), 64-45 in Monday's non-league test.
The Patriots (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Edna Karr (New Orleans, LA). The Cougars go into the 5A District 9 test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, Edna Karr went down by St. Mary's Dominican (New Orleans, LA), 55-42, in a league test.
The Buccaneers now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Northshore for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 18. West Jefferson will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 68-39 non-league loss to Liberty Magnet (Baton Rouge, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 8-11.
