Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Southeast Guilford Falcons (Greensboro, NC), 69-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lexington upgrades its record to 8-10 on the season. The Yellowjackets host East Davidson (Thomasville, NC) to play the Golden Eagles in a 1A/2A Conference 33 bout on Friday, January 20. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 4-15. East Davidson won 49-31 in their recent league bout against West Davidson (Lexington, NC)

Next up, the Falcons play the Page Pirates (Greensboro, NC) in a 4A Conference 55 bout, on Friday, January 20. Southeast Guilford will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 51-42 non-league win over Reidsville (Reidsville, NC).
