In Monday's non-league outing, the Central Blue Devils (Newark, NJ) basketball squad beat the visiting Paramus Catholic Paladins (Paramus, NJ), by a count of 57-45.
The Blue Devils (8-5) will now prepare for their outing against Cedar Grove (Cedar Grove, NJ). The Panthers go into the Super Essex - Independence outing with a 3-8 record. In their last outing, Cedar Grove defeated Livingston (Livingston, NJ), 27-22, in a non-league outing.
