Denver Cyclones (Denver, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA), 102-96 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Denver upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Cyclones travel to Hudson (Hudson, IA) to play the Pirates in a North Iowa Cedar - East bout on Thursday, January 18. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 11-1.

Next up, the Mustangs play the AGWSR Cougars (Ackley, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - West bout, on Thursday, January 18. East Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 1-9 record after their 77-26 league loss to Gladbrook-Reinbeck (Reinbeck, IA).
