Illinois High School Basketball - Peoria Heights can't hold off Farmington

The Farmington Farmers basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Peoria Heights Patriots to 69 in the Farmers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Farmers now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elmwood for a Prairieland contest on Friday, January 19. Farmington will battle a Trojans team coming off a 42-31 non-league win over Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 9-10.
The Patriots (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against West Prairie (Sciota, IL). The Cyclones enter the Prairieland contest with a 3-17 record. In their last contest, West Prairie was nudged by Mendon Unity (Mendon, IL), 68-41, in a non-league contest.
