Point Pleasant Boro Panthers (Point Pleasant, NJ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Long Branch Green Wave (Long Branch, NJ), 49-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Point Pleasant Boro upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to Holmdel (Holmdel, NJ) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Holmdel won 72-44 in their recent non-league bout against Wall Township (Wall, NJ)

Next up, the Green Wave play the Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Long Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 0-12 season record. The Garnet Gulls go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 62-26 non-league loss to Colts Neck (Colts Neck, NJ).
