The Ryle Raiders basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the host Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds to 60 in the Raiders non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Raiders now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Conner for a District 33 contest on Friday, January 19. Ryle will battle a Cougars team coming off a 70-55 non-league loss to Grant County (Dry Ridge, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 3-12.
The Thoroughbreds (4-12) will now prepare for their contest against Bellevue (Bellevue, KY). The Tigers come into the District 36 contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Bellevue prevailed over Villa Madonna (Covington, KY), 74-46, in a non-league contest.
