North Carolina High School Basketball - South Charlotte Thunder crushes Queen's Grant

January 16, 2024: Matthews, NC 28105

South Charlotte Thunder Thunder (Matthews, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC), 85-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Charlotte Thunder upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Thunder host Greater Cabarrus Stallions (Concord, NC) to play the Stallions in a North Carolina Home Education - West bout on Friday, January 19. The Stallions go into the bout with a record of 15-4. Greater Cabarrus Stallions won 81-53 in their recent non-league bout against South Guilford HomeSchool (High Point, NC)

Next up, the Stallions play the Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC) in a 1A Metro 8 bout, on Friday, January 19. Queen's Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 57-55 league loss to Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC).
