Ridgewood Rebels (Norridge, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Walther Christian Academy Broncos (Melrose Park, IL), 72-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ridgewood upgrades its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Rebels host Westmont (Westmont, IL) to play the Sentinels in a Metro Suburban bout on Friday, January 19. The Sentinels come into the bout with a record of 12-6. Westmont lost 61-47 in their recent non-league bout against College Prep of America (Lombard, IL)

Next up, the Broncos play the Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Prep bout, on Friday, January 19. Walther Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-15 season record. The Cristeros come into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 73-22 non-league loss to Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus (Chicago, IL).
