Utah High School Basketball - Salt Lake Academy edged by American Heritage

The Salt Lake Academy Griffins basketball team (Herriman, UT), was nudged 59-54 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting American Heritage Patriots (American Fork, UT)

The Patriots now possess a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Summit Academy for a 3A Region 14 battle on Friday, January 19. American Heritage will confront a Bears team coming off a 62-55 league loss to Judge Memorial Catholic (Salt Lake City, UT). The Bears record now stands at 8-11.

The Griffins (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Uintah River (Fort Duchesne, UT). The come into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Uintah River edged Salt Lake Academy (Herriman, UT), 50-47, in a non-league battle.
