Hilltop Christian Chargers (Fuquay-Varina, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bethel Christian Academy Trojans (Kinston, NC), 24-16 in a league bout.

With the win, Hilltop Christian upgrades its record to 6-8 on the season. The Chargers travel to Southside Christian (Clayton, NC) to play the Warriors in a NCCSA AA East Region 3 bout on Monday, January 22. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 1-10.

Next up, the Trojans play the New Bern Christian Academy (New Bern, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 18. Bethel Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The go into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 45-15 league loss to Faith Christian Academy (Goldsboro, NC).
