The Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] Wolverines basketball team scored 83 points and held the host Hermantown Hawks to 52 in the Wolverines league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wolverines now sport a 15-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pequot Lakes for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20. Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] will battle a Patriots team coming off a 66-51 non-league loss to Albany (Albany, MN). The Patriots record now stands at 12-2.
The Hawks (4-12) will now prepare for their contest against Proctor (Proctor, MN). The Rails enter the AA Section 7 contest with a 13-3 record. In their last contest, Proctor triumphed over Hibbing (Hibbing, MN), 60-23, in a non-league contest.
