Utah High School Basketball - Merit Preparatory Academy topped by Waterford

The Merit Preparatory Academy Knights basketball team (Springville, UT), dropped 45-33 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Waterford Ravens (Sandy, UT)

The Ravens now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maeser Prep Academy for a 2A Region 17 battle on Thursday, January 18. Waterford will battle a Lions team coming off a 52-33 league loss to American Leadership Academy (Spanish Fork, UT). The Lions record now stands at 3-13.

The Knights (4-11) will now prepare for their battle against Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams (Lehi, UT). The Marauders come into the 2A Region 16 battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams prevailed over Freedom Prep Academy (Provo, UT), 57-15, in a league battle.
