North Michigan Christian Academy Comets (Burt Lake, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pickford Panthers (Pickford, MI), 30-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Michigan Christian Academy upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Comets host Alanson (Alanson, MI) to clash with the Vikings in a Northern Lakes bout on Friday, January 19. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 2-4.

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Cedarville Trojans (Cedarville, MI) in a Eastern Upper Peninsula bout, on Friday, January 19. Pickford will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 55-23 league loss to Brimley (Brimley, MI).
