The Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM) basketball nipped the visiting Wingate Bears (Fort Wingate, NM), 41-35 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Warriors (2-13) will now prepare for their test against Moriarty (Moriarty, NM). The Pintos go into the non-league test with a 4-11 record. In their last test, Moriarty was tipped by Goddard (Roswell, NM), 50-35, in a non-league test.
The Bears now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they host Crownpoint for a 3A District 1 test on Wednesday, January 17. Wingate will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 49-14 non-league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 5-5.
