Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM), 48-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Albuquerque Academy upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Sundevils in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 18. The Sundevils come into the battle with a record of 1-5. Sandia Prep won 41-37 in their recent non-league battle against Legacy Academy (Albuquerque, NM)

The Hilltoppers (0-5) will now prepare for their battle against Aztec (Aztec, NM). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 1-2 record.
