Marina Mariners (Marina, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Stevenson Pirates (Pebble Beach, CA), 56-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Marina upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Mariners host Pacific Grove (Pacific Grove, CA) to play the Breakers in a bout on Thursday, January 18. The Breakers come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Pacific Grove won 34-28 in their recent league bout against St. Francis (Watsonville, CA)

Next up, the Pirates play the St. Francis Sharks (Watsonville, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Stevenson will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record.
