Massachusetts High School Basketball - Albany holds off Newton North

In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Albany Cougars basketball team scored a close 58-53 triumph over the Newton North Tigers.
The Cougars (12-4) will now prepare for their contest against Putnam Vo-Tech (Springfield, MA). The Beavers go into the non-league contest with a 2-4 record.
In their next game, the Tigers confront the Needham Rockets (Needham, MA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 17. Newton North will attempt to better on its 9-1 season record. The Rockets go into the contest with a 2-6 record after their 52-48 league loss to Wellesley (Wellesley, MA).
