In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Battle Creek Braves basketball team scored a close 51-46 triumph over the Lutheran-Northeast Eagles.

The Braves (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Scotus (Columbus, NE). The Shamrocks go into the non-league contest with a 9-3 record. In their last contest, Scotus nipped Norfolk Catholic (Norfolk, NE), 46-38, in a non-league contest.
