The Newman Catholic Knights basketball squad (Mason City, IA), was outscored 66-58 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA)
With the victory, Bishop Garrigan advances its record to 12-2 on the year. The Golden Bears host Lake Mills (Lake Mills, IA) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 8-4.
The Knights now own a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Butler for a non-league battle on Friday, January 17. Newman Catholic will meet a Bearcats squad coming off a 55-45 non-league loss to West Hancock (Britt, IA). The Bearcats record now stands at 4-8.
