In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Central Plains Oilers basketball team scored a big 49-18 triumph over the Skyline Thunderbirds.
The Oilers (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Victoria (Victoria, KS). The Knights go into the Central Prairie contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Victoria Plainville (Plainville, KS), 0-0, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Thunderbirds battle the Fairfield Falcons (Langdon, KS) in a Heart of the Plains contest, on Friday, January 17. Skyline will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Falcons go into the contest with a 1-6 record after their 59-50 league loss to Stafford (Stafford, KS).
