The Cheney Cardinals basketball team scored 73 points and limited the host Dodge City Demons to 24 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cardinals now have a 7-0 record. They play next when they host Kingman for a Central Plains game on Friday, January 17. Cheney will confront a Eagles team coming off a 56-33 league loss to Medicine Lodge (Medicine Lodge, KS). The Eagles record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, Dodge City falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Demons host Liberal (Liberal, KS) to confront the Redskins in a Western game on Friday, January 17. The Redskins go into the game with a record of 2-7. Liberal lost 69-61 in their recent league game against Garden City (Garden City, KS)
