In Thursday's non-league test, the Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME) basketball squad defeated the visiting Mountain Valley Falcons (Rumford, ME), by a score of 47-35.

Next, the Cougars clash with the Sacopee Valley Hawks (Cornish, ME) in a C South test, on Tuesday, January 21. Dirigo will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record.

The Falcons (3-12) will now prepare for their test against Hall-Dale (Farmingdale, ME). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 10-3 record. In their last test, Hall-Dale went down by Mount Abram (Strong, ME), 66-47, in a league test.
