Nebraska High School Basketball - Gretna nips Omaha North

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Gretna Dragons basketball team scored a close 49-47 win over the Omaha North Vikings.

The Dragons (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln (Council Bluffs, IA). The Lynx come into the non-league contest with a 10-0 record. In their last contest, Lincoln edged Bishop Heelan Catholic (Sioux City, IA), 60-41, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Elkhorn South Storm (Omaha, NE) in a A District 4 contest, on Friday, January 17. Omaha North will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Storm come into the contest with a 2-9 record after their 73-66 non-league win over Benson (Omaha, NE).
