The Spartans (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Scott County (Georgetown, KY). The Cardinals come into the District 42 challenge with a 3-8 record. In their last challenge, Scott County was routed by Frederick Douglass (Lexington, KY), 88-32, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Paul Laurence Dunbar will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Golden Lions come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 55-46 league loss to Boyle County (Danville, KY).
