The Stratton Eagles basketball squad (Stratton, CO), was outscored 74-64 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Sedgwick County Cougars (Julesburg, CO)

With the victory, Sedgwick County advances its record to 6-2 on the year. The Cougars host Caliche (Iliff, CO) to meet the Buffaloes in a 1A Lower Platte battle on Friday, January 17. The Buffaloes enter the battle with a record of 3-4. Caliche lost 48-37 in their recent non-league battle against Holyoke (Holyoke, CO)

The Eagles now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eads for a non-league battle on Friday, January 24. Stratton will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 58-46 non-league win over Wiley (Wiley, CO). The Eagles record now stands at 5-5.
