The Aitkin Gobblers basketball team scored 75 points and limited the host East Central Eagles to 41 in the Gobblers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Gobblers now possess a 14-4 record. They play next when they host Hinckley-Finlayson for a AA Section 7 game on Tuesday, January 21. Aitkin will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 55-53 non-league win over Mora (Mora, MN). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-15.

With the loss, East Central falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Pine City (Pine City, MN) to confront the Dragons in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. The Dragons go into the game with a record of 7-8. Pine City won 79-40 in their recent non-league game against Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] (Isle, MN)
