In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers basketball team scored a close 57-51 win over the Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights.
The Buccaneers (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton (Janesville, MN). The Bulldogs come into the AA Section 2 contest with a 13-2 record. In their last contest, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton edged Randolph (Randolph, MN), 75-30, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Knights battle the Triton Cobras (Dodge Center, MN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Kenyon-Wanamingo will attempt to better on its 5-11 season record.
