In Thursday's league contest, the host Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals basketball team scored a close 65-64 triumph over the Meridian Hawks.

The Cardinals (9-11) will now prepare for their contest against Neoga (Neoga, IL). The Indians go into the non-league contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, Neoga was tipped by St. Anthony (Effingham, IL), 72-45, in a league contest.
