New York High School Basketball - Middletown routs Washingtonville

In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Middletown Middie Bears basketball team scored a big 71-37 triumph over the Washingtonville Wizards.

The Middie Bears (8-0) will now prepare for their contest against Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY). The Bushmen go into the Section 9 Orange County I contest with a 9-0 record.

In their next game, the Wizards battle the Saugerties Sawyers (Saugerties, NY) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 17. Washingtonville will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Sawyers go into the contest with a 2-7 record after their 68-19 league loss to Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY).
