In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans basketball team scored a big 49-18 win over the Platte/Geddes Black Panthers.

The Titans (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Redfield (Redfield, SD). The Pheasants come into the non-league contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Redfield was trounced by Milbank (Milbank, SD), 57-15, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Black Panthers battle the Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks (Armour, SD) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 17. Platte/Geddes will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Nighthawks come into the contest with a 3-5 record after their 64-22 non-league loss to Andes Central/Dakota Christian (Lake Andes, SD).
