The Westville Blackhawks basketball team scored 74 points and limited the visiting Whiting Oilers to 14 in the Blackhawks non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Blackhawks now have a 14-2 record. They play next when they host Hebron for a Freelance game on Friday, January 17. Westville will confront a Hawks team coming off a 68-21 non-league loss to Calumet Christian (Griffith, IN). The Hawks record now stands at 1-15.

With the loss, Whiting falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Oilers travel to Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN) to confront the Bearcats in a Greater South Shore game on Saturday, January 18. The Bearcats go into the game with a record of 4-13. Wheeler won 57-36 in their recent non-league game against Boone Grove (Valparaiso, IN)
