In Thursday's league contest, the host Marquette Redmen ice hockey team scored a close 6-1 triumph over the Kingsford Flivvers.
The Redmen (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Novi (Novi, MI). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Novi was routed by Plymouth (Canton, MI), 6-2, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Flivvers battle the Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 23. Kingsford will attempt to better on its 2-9 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 7-5 record after their 5-2 non-league win over Berkley (Berkley, MI).
