The Elm Creek Buffaloes basketball squad (Elm Creek, NE), was nudged 25-23 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Axtell Wildcats (Axtell, NE)
With the victory, Axtell advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Wildcats host Loomis (Loomis, NE) to meet the Wolves in a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 11. The Wolves enter the battle with a record of 7-0.
The Buffaloes now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kenesaw for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 18.
