In Thursday's non-league contest, the host ITW David Speer Academy Pride basketball team scored a big 49-23 triumph over the Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros.

The Pride (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Johnson (Chicago, IL). The Pumas go into the contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Johnson smashed Goode STEM Academy (Chicago, IL), 19-17, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cristeros confront the Walther Christian Academy Broncos (Melrose Park, IL) in a contest, on Friday, January 17. Cristo Rey Jesuit will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Broncos go into the contest with a 7-7 record after their 71-12 non-league win over College Prep of America (Lombard, IL).
