In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting St. Mary's Pirates basketball squad scored a decisive 71-38 victory over the Rye Thunderbolts.
With the victory, St. Mary's advances its record to 5-0 on the year. The Pirates host Banning Lewis Academy (Colorado Springs, CO) to meet the Stallions in a battle on Wednesday, January 22. The Stallions enter the battle with a record of 0-2.
The Thunderbolts now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ellicott for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 18. Rye will meet a Thunderhawks squad coming off a 27-26 non-league loss to Liberty Tree Academy (Peyton, CO). The Thunderhawks record now stands at 2-3.
