In Monday's non-league match, the host Sycamore Spartans basketball team scored a tight 41-34 triumph over the Byron Tigers.
In their next game, the Spartans meet the Sandwich Indians (Sandwich, IL) in a Interstate Eight match, on Wednesday, January 19. Sycamore will attempt to move on its 10-8 season record. The Indians enter the match with a 0-16 record after their 64-3 league loss to Kaneland (Maple Park, IL).
With the defeat, Byron moves to 5-8 on the year. The Tigers travel to Oregon (Oregon, IL) to confront the Hawks in a Big Northern challenge on Friday, January 21. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 2-7.
