In Monday's non-league match, the host Marshall Justices basketball team scored a tight 91-88 triumph over the Wheeler Wildcats.
In their next game, the Justices meet the Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 18. Marshall will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Mavericks enter the match with a 13-1 record after their 67-48 league win over Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA).
