In Monday's non-league match, the host St. Francis Spartans basketball team scored a tight 56-51 triumph over the Rockford East E-Rabs.
In their next game, the Spartans meet the Ridgewood Rebels (Norridge, IL) in a Metro Suburban match, on Tuesday, January 18. St. Francis will attempt to better on its 12-3 season record. The Rebels enter the match with a 1-14 record after their 74-27 league loss to Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL).
With the defeat, Rockford East moves to 14-6 on the year. The E-rabs travel to Jefferson (Rockford, IL) to meet the J-Hawks in a Northern Illinois 10 match on Friday, January 21. The J-Hawks enter the match with a record of 4-15. Jefferson lost 78-49 in their recent non-league match against Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL)
