Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers (Harned, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Apollo Eagles (Owensboro, KY), 64-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Breckinridge County upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Fighting Tigers travel to Meade County (Brandenburg, KY) to clash with the Green Waves in a District 11 bout on Friday, January 27. The Green Waves go into the bout with a record of 4-10.

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Owensboro Catholic Aces (Owensboro, KY) in a District 9 bout, on Friday, January 20. Apollo will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Aces go into the bout with a 13-2 record after their 72-63 non-league loss to Ohio County (Hartford, KY).
