In Tuesday's non-league outing, the South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) basketball squad beat the visiting Barbourville Tigers (Barbourville, KY), by a count of 59-43.
The Cardinals (13-5) will now prepare for their outing against Corbin (Corbin, KY). The Redhounds go into the District 50 outing with a 9-2 record. In their last outing, Corbin defeated Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY), 79-66, in a league outing.
The Tigers now hold a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lynn Camp for a District 51 outing on Friday, January 20. Barbourville will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 74-69 league loss to Knox Central (Barbourville, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-11.
