The Big Rapids Cardinals (Big Rapids, MI) basketball felled the visiting Clare Pioneers (Clare, MI), 65-53 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Cardinals (7-1) will now prepare for their test against Central Montcalm (Stanton, MI). The Hornets go into the Central State - Gold test with a 2-8 record. In their last test, Central Montcalm thwarted Harrison (Harrison, MI), 73-51, in a non-league test.
The Pioneers now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Meridian for a Jack Pine test on Friday, January 20. Clare will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 66-33 non-league loss to Northern Michigan Christian (McBain, MI). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-5.
