North Branch Broncos (North Branch, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Birch Run Panthers (Birch Run, MI), 54-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Branch upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Broncos host Imlay City (Imlay City, MI) to play the Spartans in a Blue Water Area bout on Thursday, January 19. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Imlay City lost 55-33 in their recent league bout against Croswell-Lexington (Croswell, MI)

Next up, the Panthers play the Garber Dukes (Essexville, MI) in a Tri-Valley - East bout, on Friday, January 20. Birch Run will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Dukes go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 68-38 non-league loss to Cadillac (Cadillac, MI).
