Maryland High School Basketball - Douglass can't hold off Oxon Hill

The Oxon Hill Clippers basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Douglass Eagles to 66 in the Clippers league victory on Tuesday.

The Clippers now sport a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Potomac for a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A contest on Thursday, January 19. Oxon Hill will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 66-40 league loss to Largo (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Wolverines record now stands at 6-5.

The Eagles (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Gwynn Park (Brandywine, MD). The Yellowjackets come into the Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Gwynn Park edged Largo (Upper Marlboro, MD), 62-60, in a league contest.
