Mississippi High School Basketball - East Union winner over Walnut

The East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS) basketball felled the visiting Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS), 62-51 in Tuesday's league test.

The Urchins (9-11) will now prepare for their test against Pine Grove (Ripley, MS). The Panthers go into the 2A Region 1 test with a 16-7 record. In their last test, Pine Grove thwarted Belmont (Belmont, MS), 66-54, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they host Baldwyn for a 2A Region 1 test on Friday, January 20. Walnut will encounter a Bearcats squad coming off a 52-50 league loss to New Site (New Site, MS). The Bearcats record now stands at 14-2.
