The Gibbs Eagles (Corryton, TN) basketball knocked off the host Scott Highlanders (Huntsville, TN), 66-52 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Eagles (8-8) will now prepare for their test against Seymour (Seymour, TN). The Eagles go into the 3A District 3 test with a 2-15 record. In their last test, Seymour went down by Halls (Knoxville, TN), 96-37, in a non-league test.
The Highlanders now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Anderson County for a 3A District 4 test on Friday, January 20. Scott will encounter a Mavericks squad coming off a 72-43 non-league win over Oliver Springs (Oliver Springs, TN). The Mavericks record now stands at 9-8.
